Compliance Manager
Location: Caernarfon (FTL) with support across N Industries Group
Reports to: Technical Director, Friction Technology Ltd
Role Overview
We are seeking a Compliance Manager to support Friction Technology Ltd (FTL) and other companies within the N Industries group. The role will focus on maintaining, developing, and continually improving our management systems in line with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards.
This is a key role within the group, ensuring that our businesses remain compliant, efficient, and audit-ready while driving continuous improvement across all sites.
Key Responsibilities
· Maintain and continually improve compliance with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and AS9100 standards.
· Lead internal and external audit preparation, coordination, and follow-up actions.
· Develop and monitor compliance documentation, including manuals, procedures, and risk assessments.
· Train and support colleagues on compliance requirements and best practices.
· Implement corrective and preventive actions following audits and non-conformance reports.
· Work with management teams to identify opportunities for system and process improvement.
· Provide clear reporting on compliance status, risks, and improvement opportunities to senior management.
· Support group-wide initiatives to standardise and strengthen compliance culture across businesses.
Skills & Experience
· Strong knowledge of ISO 45001, 14001, 9001 and ideally AS9100.
· Proven track record in managing compliance or quality systems within manufacturing or engineering.
· Excellent IT skills (data analysis, reporting, document control, system integration).
· Highly organised, thorough, and detail-oriented with a methodical approach.
· Strong problem-solving and analytical ability.
· Confident communicator, able to engage with all levels of the business.
· Proactive, self-motivated, and capable of working across multiple sites within the group.
Additional Preferred Experience
· Background in general business operations such as administration, logistics, or production support — giving strong awareness of how different functions within a company interact.
· Ability to quickly understand business processes and translate them into effective compliance frameworks.
· Experience working in environments where compliance is integrated with day-to-day operational decision making.
Desirable
· Experience in aerospace, defence, automotive, or heavy industry environments.
· Auditor or lead auditor qualifications.
· Familiarity with Health & Safety and Environmental compliance beyond ISO standards.
