Due to our continued growth, an exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced CNC Miller to join our busy and highly motivated team on a permanent contract.
The work is varied, interesting and demanding and we expect high standards for quality and performance. Ideally with a time served background you will be expected to manufacture a wide range of steel and aluminium components on our HAAS and Hurco CNC Milling machines. You will require a good practical knowledge of CNC machining. You will join our manufacturing department, ensuring that quality standards are met on all components, by following company processes, and procedures. Our products are designed to support the teaching of engineering principles, and all the finished work is visible to the end customers. We pride ourselves on delivering an excellent quality of finish and it is therefore imperative that you have great attention to detail and work to an exceptionally neat standard. Your main responsibilities will include:
* Programming, Setting and Operating CNC Milling machines (preferably HAAS) to produce precision precision-engineered components.
* Self-inspection of components using manual measuring equipment
* Creation of programmes, jigs & fixtures for new components
* Ensure manufactured parts are produced in the most efficient manner
* Setting and running multiple machines when the component and/or batch sizes allow
* Work with Engineering team to resolve technical queries relating to new and existing components

* Location: Long Eaton, Nottinghamshire
* Department: Machine Shop
* Reporting to: Machine Shop Manager
* Hours: 37 hours per week – 7.00am to 3.30pm Mon–Thurs (30 mins lunch), 7.00am to 12 noon on Friday (no lunchbreak)

Requirements
* Programming, setting and operating experience of CNC Milling machinery – HAAS preferred
* Apprentice trained or equivalent background in CNC machining within a production environment
* Able to work accurately to deadlines.
* An ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings
* An enthusiastic team player with a can-do/flexible attitude
* Flexible, positive and proactive attitude with a commitment to quality
* A willingness to help in other areas of the factory should the demand arise.
* Conventional Milling/Bridgeport experience
