OVERVIEW:
You will assist in the installation, calibration, and operation of SEIKO’s systems to support the delivery of timing, measurement, and data services at national and international sporting events such as World Athletics Championships. This is an opportunity to join the SEIKO team on a zero-hour contract.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Installation and configuration of SEIKO’s systems prior to major events, including unloading equipment, rigging network infrastructure, calibrating key systems, and performing pre-event checks.
Liaising with competition officials, members of the senior management team and other key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of services.
Calibration, maintenance and operation of SEIKO timing, measurement, and data systems before, during, and after competition.
Efficient de-rigging and load-out of equipment post event.
SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Essential Attributes
A high level of computer literacy with detailed technical understanding including one or more of the following areas, is desirable:
* Experience installing and maintaining computer networks.
* Experience calibrating and operating camera-based measurement systems, e.g., motion capture systems, photo-finish timing systems etc.
* Experience calibrating and operating timing and wearable systems, e.g., Global/Local positioning systems, IMUs, chip-based timing systems etc.
* Experience installing and operating LED display screens.
Exceptional problem-solving skills.
Sports enthusiast, and particularly a keen knowledge of athletics.
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a larger team whilst under pressure.
Flexible to unusual working patterns, and willing and able to travel internationally.
Desired Attributes:
Degree educated or equivalent in STEM area. e.g., Computer science, engineering, sports science etc.
Experience delivering technical services at major televised sporting events.
Highly adaptable in a high pressure, live broadcast environment.
