We’re also part of BT Group, which we’re even bigger than you might think. Millions of people rely on us every day to help them live their lives, power their businesses, and keep their public services running. We connect friends to family, clients to colleagues, people to possibilities. We keep the wheels of business spinning, and the emergency services responding.

We think we’ve got something special here. We want everyone to feel proud about working at EE – and feel excited about where we’re going and what we’re going to do. Want to join in?

Why this job matters

Within Consumer, this role plays a critical part in ensuring a robust and effective financial control framework is embedded across the business. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to process owners, providing guidance on appropriate risk mitigation strategies, designing and enhancing control activities, and supporting continuous improvement in how controls operate day‑to‑day. With a strong focus on governance, accuracy, and operational excellence, you’ll help maintain a resilient control environment that enables informed decision‑making and protects the integrity of our financial processes.

What you’ll be doing

* Ensuring processes and controls are fully documented within the Internal Control Framework, maintaining clear, accurate, and up‑to‑date records that support effective governance and compliance.
* Partnering with cross‑functional teams on major projects—including new system implementations and customer proposition launches—to embed strong, well‑designed controls from the outset and ensure risks are appropriately managed.
* Advising operational teams on risk mitigation, providing practical guidance on identifying control gaps, strengthening existing controls, and implementing improvements that enhance the overall control environment.

The skills you'll need

* Professional audit or accountancy accreditation (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience gained in a financial control, audit, or risk environment. (Essential)
* Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence, challenge, and build trusted relationships across finance, operations, and senior leadership teams. (Essential)
* Solid knowledge of financial control processes, including risk identification, control design, testing, and continuous improvement of control frameworks. (Essential)
* Good understanding of core IT and controls systems, with experience in SAP GRC, ARIS or similar tools considered highly beneficial.

* Enhanced women’s health support: including help with menopause symptoms, cancer screenings, period care and more.
* 25 days annual leave (not including bank holidays), increasing with service
* 24/7 private virtual GP appointments for UK colleagues
* 2 weeks carer’s leave
