Talent Finance are supporting a growing and well-established organisation is looking to appoint a Senior Management Accountant to join its expanding finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is keen to play a key role in shaping financial insight and supporting strategic decision making.
Working across offices in Poole and Weymouth, you will deliver high-quality financial reporting, analysis and business partnering support. You will also help mentor junior members of the team while driving continuous improvement across financial processes and reporting.

The Role
As Senior Management Accountant, you will take responsibility for producing accurate, timely and insightful financial information while supporting the wider finance function.
Key responsibilities will include:
* Managing the month-end process including journals, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations
* Producing detailed variance analysis and providing clear explanations of financial performance
* Preparing monthly financial performance reports, KPIs and management information for senior stakeholders
* Supporting and mentoring junior members of the finance team
* Working closely with department heads on budgeting and forecasting activities
* Monitoring business costs and identifying opportunities to improve financial performance
* Ensuring financial reporting is accurate and delivered in line with internal processes and deadlines
* Maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders across the organisation
* Supporting continuous improvement of systems, processes and reporting
The Candidate
We are looking for a confident and commercially aware finance professional with strong technical accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills.
You will ideally have:
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification
* Around 2–4 years’ experience in a management accounting role
* Experience supervising or supporting junior team members
* Strong analytical skills and excellent attention to detail
* Advanced Excel skills
* Experience using financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle or similar
* The ability to communicate financial information clearly to non-financial stakeholders
* Strong organisational skills with the ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
* A collaborative and professional approach
