As an Agricultural Service Technician, you'll work with cutting-edge machinery, helping customers get the very best performance from their equipment. You’ll split your time between our workshops and customer sites, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of machinery — from tractors and combines to the latest precision agriculture technology. What you’ll be doing Diagnosing and repairing agricultural equipment Carrying out routine servicing and maintenance Keeping up to date with the latest technology through ongoing manufacturer training Ensuring all work meets high-quality standards both in the workshop and in the field Supporting and mentoring apprentices and trainees Preparing new and used equipment for customers What we’re looking for Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems A passion for delivering excellent customer service The ability to work independently and as part of a team Self-motivation, strong communication skills, and a proactive mindset Previous experience with a franchised dealer would be advantageous, but is not essential — full training provided Confidence using diagnostic tools and following technical procedures Experience working on root crop machinery, drills, fertiliser spreaders, and sprayers would be beneficial but not essential Flexibility to work extended hours during peak seasons A full UK driving licence What you’ll get in return At Burgess Tractors, we believe that investing in our people is the key to success.
