 
        Job Title: Fire Systems Small Works Installation Engineer Location: Field-Based - London Job Type: Full-Time Job Overview: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Fire Systems Small Works Installation Engineer to join our growing team. You will be responsible for the installation, commissioning of small-scale fire detection and alarm system projects across a variety of commercial & residential sites. This is a field-based role requiring technical expertise, customer interaction, and a proactive attitude. Key Responsibilities: * Install, commission, and test fire detection and alarm systems in accordance with BS 5839-1 and client requirements * Carry out small works installations, including modifications and upgrades to existing systems * Complete detailed job reports, commissioning certificates, and handover documentation * Liaise effectively with customers, project managers, and other stakeholders * Ensure work is completed within budget and timeline, maintaining high-quality standards * Adhere to all company policies, health and safety regulations, and industry standards * Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers or apprentices, if required * Participate in training and development sessions to maintain up-to-date knowledge of systems and regulations Essential Requirements: * Proven experience in installing and commissioning fire alarm systems * Strong knowledge of BS 5839 and relevant fire safety standards * Familiarity with key fire alarm systems such as Gent, Advanced, Kentec, Apollo, Hochiki, etc. * Full UK driving license * ECS or CSCS Card * Excellent communication and customer service skills * Ability to work independently or as part of a team Desirable Qualifications: * FIA Units 1, 4, or equivalent fire systems qualifications * Experience with emergency lighting systems or additional life safety systems * IPAF / PASMA / Asbestos Awareness certification * Electrical qualifications (e.g., 18th Edition, NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation)
