Position Summary:
Scan Global Logistics (UK) Ltd are looking for an enthusiastic Road Export Clerk to join a busy team in our busy Colnbrook facility.
Overall Job Purpose:
• To coordinate and manage UK/EU road freight export shipments, ensuring timely, compliant, and efficient movement of goods.
• To liaise with internal departments, carriers, and customers to meet service expectations and resolve any operational issues.
• To maintain high standards of documentation accuracy and regulatory compliance (including customs and GDP guidelines).
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience in UK/EU Road Export operations (including groupage and dedicated transport).
• Working knowledge of customs processes, including export entries and T1 procedures. Preferably using ASM Sequoia.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
• High attention to detail and accuracy in document handling
• Ability to work under pressure, prioritise, and meet deadlines
Main tasks and key responsibilities:
• Process, handle, all export documentation in line with company procedures and legal requirements.
• Create and confirm transport/export orders, ensuring accuracy of data and adherence to delivery schedules.
• Prepare and issue customs export declarations and associated documentation (including T1s, Entries and CMRs).
• Coordinate groupage and dedicated transport services
• Monitor shipment progress and proactively manage exceptions or delays.
• Maintain records in our Internal Operating System (Boxtop) in line with audit and regulatory requirements.
• Actively contribute to profit maximisation by identifying cost-saving opportunities, monitoring supplier performance, and flagging any operational inefficiencies or unnecessary expenses.
• Raise invoices in line with internal guidelines
• Comply with GDP guidelines and SGL requirements
