Hours: Flexible, term-time only
Rate of Pay: £95-120 per day (dependent upon experience)
Start Date: September 2025
What We’re Looking For:
Experienced Cover Supervisors – Individuals confident in leading lessons and managing classrooms in the absence of a teacher with recent experience within UK secondary schools.
Graduates or Aspiring Teachers – Those looking to gain relevant experience before moving into a teaching career.
Strong Communicators and Role Models – You don’t need to be a qualified teacher, but you need to be a confident, professional individual with the capability of managing a classroom effectively.
Experienced in Special Educational Needs- If you have had any relevant experience working with children or young adults with special educational needs, this is beneficial to help you when delivering lessons to a range of needs, abilities & age groups.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver pre-prepared lessons, following lesson plans set out by class teacher, accurately
Ensure you manage classroom behaviour effectively, keeping disruption to a minimum
Communicate effectively with pupils and staff, having strong interpersonal skills is essential
Leave classrooms in a tidy and respectful manner, in readiness for the class teacher to return
Report any issues to senior leadership within the school
Maintain a commitment to safeguarding at all times, reporting any issues in a timely and professional manner
Adhere to schools' policies & procedures at all times

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
