Teaching Assistant - Supporting and Delivering Learning (Level 4)
Salary: Pro rata £28,598 - £32,061 (G05)
Work base: Child Development Centre (Ysgol y Gogarth site)
We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, compassionate, self‑motivated and proactive individual to our new Early Years Enrichment Service. The Service will be supporting early years' settings to provide for and enrich the pre‑school experience for children with additional needs and developmental delay, so that they can develop the skills needed for school readiness.
The successful applicant will have a clear desire to develop the skills of children within the Early Years age group by supporting and advising settings in preparing children for the transition to school. They will work closely with settings in an advisory capacity and also alongside families and other professionals to ensure that needs are well understood and grant funding used appropriately to help meet these needs.
The successful applicant will work with the wider Child Development Centre and Portage teams, and also have the opportunity to undertake further training to deliver Portage, and to support children directly within the Child Development Centre and across the transition into school.
We are looking for individuals with experience in and a passion for supporting children in the early years, and specifically with additional needs and developmental delay. The successful candidate will be confident to advise and work with setting staff to develop their effective practise for this group of children.
Due to the nature of the post the successful candidates will be subject to a disclosure by the Disclosure and Barring Service. It is a requirement that successful candidate will need to register with the Education Workforce Council prior to commencing employment.
