We are looking for a compassionate and committed SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with special educational needs and disabilities across the school. Duties as a SEND Teaching Assistant: Provide tailored support to pupils with a range of SEND needs, including learning, behavioural, and physical challenges Assist in delivering personalised learning plans under the guidance of the class teacher and SENDCo Foster a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment Support pupils’ social, emotional and academic development both in and out of the classroom Promote independence and self-esteem through positive relationships and encouragement Maintain accurate records of pupil progress and communicate effectively with staff and parents Ideal SEND Teaching Assistant: Have experience working with children with SEND, either in a school or similar setting Be patient, empathetic and resilient, with a positive and flexible approach Be able to follow individual support plans and adapt to the needs of different learners as a SEND Teaching Assistant.
