CT19 has partnered exclusively with an innovative, mission-driven climate technology company developing advanced decarbonisation systems for industrial applications.

Following continued technical progress and demonstrator expansion, the team is now seeking a hands-on Assembly Technician to support the assembly and integration of prototype and demonstration units at their Norwich-based workshop.

This is a practical, workshop-focused role suited to someone who enjoys building real hardware, working with heavy industrial components, and contributing directly to first-of-a-kind climate technology systems.

The Role

As Mechanical Technician, you will play a key role in assembling containerised demonstrator units and industrial skid systems. You will work closely with engineers to fabricate, assemble, and integrate pressure-rated mechanical systems safely and to a high standard.

Assembly Technician responsibilities

Fabrication & Welding

* Perform coded welding (MIG/TIG preferred) to relevant standards
* Fabricate and modify pipework, brackets, supports, and structural elements
* Work with carbon steel and stainless steel systems
* Assemble pressure-rated pipework and fittings

Mechanical Assembly

* Assemble heavy industrial components including compressors, vessels, and heat exchangers
* Install valves, sensors, fittings, and mechanical subassemblies
* Support mechanical alignment and integrity checks
* Prepare systems for hydrostatic and pneumatic testing

Pressure & Safety Compliance

* Work in accordance with UK Pressure Systems Safety Regulations (PSSR)
* Understand PED and pressure-rated components
* Support CE and UKCA compliance documentation where required
* Maintain safe workshop practices and lifting procedures

Demonstrator Build & Integration

* Support containerised skid builds
* Assist with commissioning and fault-finding activities
* Contribute to prototype iteration and build improvements
* Work flexibly as systems evolve through development phases

Assembly Technician requirements

Essential

* Coded welding certification/experience.
* Experience working with pressure pipework and/or pressure vessels
* Mechanical assembly experience on industrial equipment
* Ability to interpret technical drawings and P&IDs
* Strong practical mindset and workshop safety awareness

Desirable

* Forklift or lifting operations familiarity
* Experience within Oil & Gas, industrial refrigeration, process plant, power generation, compressed air systems, or heavy fabrication
* Experience supporting prototype or demonstrator builds

What’s on Offer

* Competitive salary dependent on experience
* Opportunity to work on first-of-a-kind climate technology systems
* Collaborative, delivery-focused engineering environment
* Long-term opportunity within a growing decarbonisation business
