Overview
We are seeking a warm, compassionate and proactive Extra Care Registered Manager to provide person-centered care and support to our services users within a recently developed, brand new extra care scheme based in Hattersley, Tameside.
In this role, you will oversee the operational management of a 91-apartment service, supported by a Deputy Project Manager and Senior Support Workers, providing the highest standards of care to over-55 year olds in an independent living setting. The apartments comprise of one and two bedrooms, featuring onsite amenities and the service offers 24-hour care that is tailored to individual needs.
You will register with the Care Quality Commission (CQC) to become the accountable based lead.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate with the housing provider, stakeholders and local health and social care services to ensure the highest standards of care and support are provided.
* Ensure the service empowers clients and meets their needs and preferences; work with service users’ families and friends to promote a positive atmosphere within the service.
* Maintain an empathetic and holistic approach to support service users’ orientation and independence; be flexible, energetic and reliable.
* Oversee all four services, including provision of dignified personal care and domestic tasks, and support individuals to access employment, education, and social opportunities.
* Be willing to work occasional shifts including mornings, evenings and weekends.
* Lead and oversee the operational management of the 91-apartment scheme, supported by a Deputy Project Manager and Senior Support Workers, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Qualifications and requirements
* Previous experience in services for older people, and people with dementia and memory loss is essential.
* Approach should be warm, person-centered and respectful.
* Full training is provided, with opportunity to work towards QCF Diploma in Health and Social Care.
* You must be willing to register with the CQC as the accountable lead.
