About the Role
We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join our welcoming Reception class team. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the early years of children’s education.
Key Responsibilities
1. Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities to Reception-aged children
2. Provide personal care assistance, including toileting, changing, and hygiene support
3. Help create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
4. Support children’s social, emotional, and academic development
5. Assist with classroom preparation, displays, and resource management
6. Work with individual children and small groups to reinforce learning
7. Maintain accurate records and observations of children’s progress
Essential Requirements
8. Experience working with young children, ideally in an educational setting
9. Willingness and ability to provide personal care with sensitivity and professionalism
10. Patient, warm, and approachable manner
11. Good communication skills with children, staff, and parents
12. Commitment to safeguarding and child protection
13. Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)
