We are currently looking for an Environmental Health and Trading Standards Assistant to join our team.
Are you passionate about protecting public health and supporting local communities? As an Environmental Health & Trading Standards Assistant within the Environment and Regeneration Directorate, you&ll play a vital role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of residents and businesses across Neath Port Talbot. This permanent position is based at The Quays and offers the opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals, carrying out technical, low-risk enforcement, operational, and administrative support duties that underpin the essential work of Environmental Health & Trading Standards.
In this varied and rewarding role, you&ll be responsible for a wide range of tasks$ûfrom providing business advice, supporting registration and licensing processes, and conducting informal sampling and test purchasing, to maintaining the service&s social media presence and managing key records and equipment. You&ll contribute to the accurate completion of records, help with the safe handling of evidence and samples, and support the administration of IT systems. Practical IT and data entry skills will be essential, together with customer care and inter personal communication skills.
