Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Night Auditor to join our team in Ipswich, United Kingdom. As a Night Auditor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel during the night shift, managing front desk duties, performing financial reconciliations, and providing exceptional guest services.
* Conduct nightly audits of financial transactions and ensure accuracy in reporting
* Manage front desk operations, including check-ins and check-outs
* Provide outstanding guest services by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly
* Maintain a clean and organized front desk area and hotel public spaces
* Prepare reports for management detailing occupancy rates, revenue, and other key metrics
* Handle phone calls professionally and courteously, ensuring a positive experience for callers
* Assist with administrative tasks as required during the night shift
* Ensure the security and safety of guests and hotel property during overnight hours
* Collaborate with other departments to address any guest concerns or maintenance issues
* Stay up-to-date with hotel policies, promotions, and local area information to assist guests effectively
* 32 to 40 hours on a zero hour contract
Qualifications
* Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and customer service abilities
* Proficiency in financial reconciliation and basic accounting principles
* Ability to work independently and maintain a high level of efficiency during night shifts
* Basic computer skills, including proficiency in hotel management software
* Flexibility to work overnight hours, weekends, and holidays as needed
* High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in hospitality management is a plus
* Previous hotel experience is helpful but not essential
* Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions independently
* Professional demeanor and a positive attitude
