We have an exciting opportunity to join South Devon College as Head of Management Information Services (MIS) and Funding. In this role you will lead the College’s MIS by creating, maintaining and developing systems and processes to meet the internal and external reporting requirements of the College and to provide advice, support and guidance on college systems and processes for student data and funding to maximise quality outcomes, funding generation, growth opportunities and ensure compliance with funders and regulators.
In This Role You Will
* Develop and maintain robust systems and processes for student data, funding, and exams to meet internal and external reporting requirements.
* Ensure accurate and timely data returns to funding bodies such as the DfE and OfS, and maintain strong internal controls to satisfy auditors and regulators.
* Provide expert advice on funding methodologies and student number forecasting to support curriculum planning and business growth.
* Oversee enrolment, attendance, achievement and funding data, ensuring integrity and accuracy across all systems.
* Continuously enhance MIS systems, reporting tools and processes to adapt to changing technology and funding environments.
* Take a key role in internal and external audits, Ofsted inspections and ensure compliance with funding regulations.
* Inspire and manage a skilled team, ensuring professional development and technical expertise are maintained.
The successful candidate will hold a degree or the equivalent relevant experience with proven leadership experience in MIS and funding within the FE/HE sector. You should have in-depth knowledge of funding methodologies, audit rules and compliance requirements as well as strong analytical skills.
