* Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons that meet national curriculum expectations
* Differentiate teaching to support students of varying abilities and learning needs
* Track, assess, and record student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback
* Maintain a well-managed, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure consistency of high-quality teaching and curriculum delivery
* Support students with exam preparation and coursework where applicable
* Contribute to departmental planning, meetings, and wider whole-school initiatives
What you'll need to succeedThe successful candidate will:* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent* Have experience teaching secondary aged students in the UK (all subjects welcomed)* Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and effective communication* Bring recent, relevant UK school-based experience* Show professionalism, adaptability, and a commitment to raising standards* Be dedicated to safeguarding and the welfare of children and young people* Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service-or be willing to apply for oneWhat you'll get in returnWhen you register with Hays Education, you will benefit from:
