About the OpportunityHays are partnered with an award-winning multidisciplinary consultancy looking for a Structural Engineer or Senior Structural Engineer to join a growing team in Liverpool. They operate out of 5 UK office locations and employ over 100 staff. You’ll collaborate closely with these colleagues across civil engineering, structural design, geo‑environmental services and transport planning specialisms delivering high‑quality, sustainable solutions for clients across the residential,mercial, industrial, education and nuclear sectors.

What You’ll Be Doing
1. Carrying out structural assessments, inspections and investigations
2. Producing calculations, design packages and technical reports
3. Contributing to multi‑disciplinary project teams across civil, environmental and transport disciplines
4. Preparing and reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
5. Supporting or leading client liaison, depending on seniority
6. Monitoring site works, responding to technical queries and ensuring designpliance.
7. Guiding junior team members (Senior role)
8. Contributing to fee proposals, project planning and resource management
What You’ll Bring
9. Demonstrable UK experience in structural design across materials such as steel, concrete, timber and masonry
10. Experience in structural analysis, inspection, reporting and remedial rmendations
11. Strong understanding of industry standards, building regulations and UK design codes
12. Excellentmunication skills and confidence working with clients, contractors and project partners
13. Progressing toward, or already holding, Chartered status (MIStructE/MICE) — advantageous but not essential
14. Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment
