Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join this busy, friendly department. We seek an energetic and enthusiastic person with a mature, responsible and flexible outlook. Previous experience as a medical secretary with audio‑typing skills is essential. A caring and courteous manner, the ability to work unsupervised, and an awareness of team membership are required.
Responsibilities
* Typing clinical and administrative letters and other correspondence within strict turnaround timeframes.
* Answering and handling telephone enquiries and general administrative duties.
* Providing a full secretarial and clerical service to the Consultant and their team.
* Acting as a central point of information and communication for the clinical team.
* Ensuring daily tasks and ongoing workloads are prioritised and completed in agreed timeframes.
* Occasionally supervising other secretarial and clerical staff.
Qualifications
* Proven experience as a medical secretary.
* Audio‑typing skills.
* Mature, responsible, flexible outlook with a caring and courteous manner.
* Ability to work unsupervised and display initiative while being aware of team membership.
