We have an exciting opportunity for an individual to join our Liverpool FC team as a Physical Performance Analyst.
What will you be doing?
1. Lead the construction & communication of a daily & longitudinal sleep/subjective wellness report. Integrate this information into a training load longitudinal monitoring system.
2. Provide sleep hygiene feedback/advice for all players. This includes leading the provision of wearable devices to all players.
3. Organise, download & report GPS data daily for team & rehab sessions.
4. Provide live GPS feedback during pitch sessions, including doing drill splits during team & individual sessions and analysing movement demands during specific drills.
5. Deliver daily level 2 “response” readiness monitoring assessments as advised by the Head of Physical Performance & Lead Sports Scientist.
6. Conduct player performance “testing” before & after training.
7. Report the most recent literature on “training load, subjective wellness and sleep monitoring” every 8 weeks.
8. Lead mini-projects aimed at giving LFC the “leading edge” in physical performance, in collaboration with the LFC Performance Insights Team.
9. Assist with team & individual recovery sessions.
10. Assist in tidying the gym daily.
11. Update every 8 weeks on your Innovation project, which may include:
* A novel project investigating the relationship between training load rhythm, subjective wellness, sleep hygiene, and injury occurrence.
Who are we looking for?
1. Proven experience as a Physical Performance Analyst in an elite football environment (First Team or Academy level), preferably with experience at Premier League or Championship level.
2. Understanding of data interpretation and utilization to provide relevant insights for player performance.
3. Flexible and dedicated work approach, including availability during unsociable hours.
4. Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
5. Ability to work reliably under pressure, meet deadlines, adhere to strict processes, and maintain high standards and confidentiality.
