Job Description
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated New Care Professional to join our team on a part-time basis in Wigan, United Kingdom. As a Care Professional, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes or care facilities.
Responsibilities
1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
2. Provide emotional support and companionship to clients.
3. Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients' health conditions.
4. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding when necessary.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
7. Document client information and report any changes in condition to supervisors.
8. Accompany clients to medical appointments and social activities when required.
9. Adapt care plans to meet individual client needs and preferences.
10. Respond promptly and appropriately to emergencies or unexpected situations.
Qualifications
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Demonstrated empathy, patience, and compassion for others.
* Basic medical knowledge and understanding of common health conditions.
* Strong time management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Physical stamina to assist clients with mobility and daily activities.
* Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
* Previous experience in healthcare or caregiving is preferred.
* Ability to travel within the Wigan area.
* Valid driving licence and access to a vehicle may be required.
* Willingness to undergo a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
* First Aid and CPR certification is advantageous.
