We are looking for an experienced and motivated Obstetric Sonographer/Midwife Sonographer to join our friendly and dedicated imaging team across two sites in Dumfries & Stranraer.
Responsibilities
• Work as part of a small and busy department delivering a high‑quality, patient‑focused obstetric service.
• Take ownership of scanning lists, ensuring they are realistic and promote ergonomic best practice.
• Collaborate with the team to continuously improve practical skills and service delivery.
Qualifications
• Minimum of a Post‑Graduate Certificate in Obstetric Ultrasound.
• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development in obstetric ultrasound.
• Strong communication skills and a team‑player attitude.
Location & Working Hours
Dumfries is located in the South West of Scotland. As of 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will be reduced from 37 to 36 hours per week; part‑time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. Corresponding hourly rate increases will ensure pay is not affected.
