As a Prudential Risk Specialist, you will:

-Present findings: Provide clear, actionable insights that influence strategic decisions and ensure risks are understood and managed effectively.
-Support 1st line teams: Collaborate with operational teams to develop and embed risk mitigation plans aligned with the Risk Management Framework.
-Provide expert guidance: Advise on prudential risk areas including ICAAP, ILAAP, Recovery Plans, and lending policy changes.
-Monitor risk appetite: Oversee and challenge the Society's prudential and credit risk limits, ensuring performance is tracked and escalated appropriately.
-Contribute to key committees: Attend Credit, Asset & Liability Committee and Product Pricing Governance Committees, offering challenge, insight, and recommendations through written and verbal reports.
-Coach and collaborate: Support colleagues across the Society in understanding and applying prudential risk principles, fostering a culture of accountability and learning.
The ideal candidate will:
-Hold a relevant qualification in finance, economics, or risk management, or possess equivalent practical experience.
-Bring at least one year of hands-on experience in Treasury, Prudential Risk, Credit Risk, or a closely related role.
-Demonstrate the ability to write and deliver Board-quality reports that provide clear insights and strategic value.
-Understand and apply regulatory requirements within a financial services environment.
-Confidently analyse complex prudential documents such as ICAAP, ILAAP, and Recovery Plans.
This role offers a unique opportunity to be part of a team actively shaping the Society's financial resilience. You'll be supported in your professional development, encouraged to grow your skills, and work in a culture that values ethics, innovation, and collaboration.
