Position: General Manager Location: Stoke-on-Trent Salary: Up to 67k (DEO) We seek an experienced and driven leader to oversee our logistics operations in Stoke-on-Trent. This role is responsible for site performance, financial control, operational efficiency, and service delivery. You will be instrumental in shaping the site's strategic direction while ensuring excellence in execution across warehousing and transport functions. A background with a freight company is essential, covering all aspects of freight, transport, warehouse and site processes. Key Responsibilities Transport & Logistics Oversee the compliant and safe movement of goods, including hazardous materials, in line with regulatory standards. Monitor transport activities to ensure efficient service within budget constraints. Work alongside the Head of UK Transport on matters including vehicle planning and fleet renewal. Ensure robust service levels are maintained for international operations and identify efficiencies. Collaborate with the commercial team to develop cost tariffs and support new business development. Support internal departments (Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, Customer Service) to ensure seamless operational delivery and issue resolution.
