Tax Manager
Location: Exeter (Hybrid and Flexible Working Available)
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 DOE + Excellent Benefits

Whether you're a high-performing Tax Senior seeking a new challenge or an established Assistant Tax Manager or Tax Manager looking to broaden your expertise, we have a fantastic opportunity to join a growing and dynamic team in Exeter.
This is a newly created role within a thriving tax department offering the chance to work with a diverse and high-value client portfolio, including high net worth individuals, large professional partnerships, family trusts, shareholder/directors, and non-residents. You may also gain valuable experience in areas such as trust and probate work and non-domiciled taxpayers.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver a full range of tax services in compliance with relevant regulations, within budget and timeframes
Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing tailored tax planning advice
Support and contribute to a wide variety of tax advisory projects
Review and prepare complex tax returns
Identify and help mitigate tax risks
Provide mentorship and support to the tax team, assisting in training and development
Oversee tax compliance and provision processes within the Exeter office
Contribute to managing the financial performance of the department
About You
You’ll bring a combination of technical expertise, client focus, and a proactive attitude. Ideally, you will have:
ATT and/or CTA qualification
Experience as a Tax Manager, Assistant Tax Manager or a high-performing Tax Senior
Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of taxes
Excellent understanding of tax compliance processes and requirements
Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal
A collaborative and professional approach, with the confidence to manage client relationships
Ability to prioritise and manage multiple tasks effectively
A team-oriented mindset with an interest in supporting others’ development
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
