Criminal Justice Recovery Worker – Change Grow Live
Join to apply for the Criminal Justice Recovery Worker role at Change Grow Live. The role supports people with involvement in the criminal justice system with their drug and/or alcohol issues. This role includes one‑to‑one key work, delivering group work programmes, case management and interacting with partner agencies, particularly prisons, police, probation and courts, to ensure people accessing Spectrum can improve and change their lives.

Hatfield, with county‑wide travel to all Hertfordshire sites.
Employment Details
Contract: Fixed‑Term Contract until 31 March 2026. Full‑Time Hours: 37.5 per week. Salary Range: £27,861.26 – £32,002.35 per annum. Allowances: Outer London Fringe £694.25 per annum.
Responsibilities
* Support service users from point of entry through their treatment/recovery journey.
* Provide screening, assessment, recovery planning and onward referral.
* Reduce drug and alcohol‑related harm to service users and the wider community.
* Engage in liaison and partnership working with police, probation, courts and prisons.
* Promote carer, service user and community involvement.
* Advocate for access to partnership services.
* Deliver Motivational Interviewing.
* Implement child and adult safeguarding.
* Raise substance awareness.
* Support social (re)integration, enabling meaningful and purposeful lives, promoting recovery, resilience, peer support and self‑determination.
* Provide acupuncture (as required).
* Commit to equality, diversity and inclusion.
* Hold and maintain First Aid certification.
Qualifications and Experience
* Strong understanding of substance misuse issues and/or experience in a similar field.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with good IT proficiency.
* Proactive, independent, with excellent time‑management and prioritisation skills.
* Supportive team player with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a wide range of professionals and agencies.
* Ability to manage change successfully, prioritising the needs of service users.
* Knowledge of information governance processes and commitment to safeguard information.
* Willingness to seek learning opportunities and contribute to others’ development.
