Job Title: Senior Quantity Surveyor
Location: Warrington, North West
Randstad C&P is working with a dynamic and innovative property development company known for delivering high-quality projects in a fast-paced environment. As they embark on new and exciting ventures, they are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Quantity Surveyor to join the team and play a pivotal role in the success of upcoming projects.
Position Overview:
As a Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project management team, overseeing the cost management aspects of our fast-paced and dynamic projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual with extensive experience in quantity surveying to contribute to the growth and success of a leading property developer.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the quantity surveying team in the effective management of project budgets.
2. Conduct detailed cost assessments and provide accurate and timely reports.
3. Negotiate and manage contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
4. Analyse and evaluate tenders, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
5. Oversee the preparation and submission of interim valuations and final accounts.
6. Collaborate with project managers to identify and mitigate potential risks.
7. Mentor and support junior quantity surveyors within the team.
8. Stay updated on industry trends and implement best practices.
Qualifications:
9. Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
10. Extensive experience in quantity surveying, preferably within property development.
11. Proven track record of successfully managing fast-paced and complex projects.
12. Excellent knowledge of construction processes and cost management principles.
13. Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
14. Effective communication and leadership abilities.
15. Proficient in relevant software, including Microsoft Excel.
