Retail Store Assistant
£12.71 per hour plus benefits. Reports to: Shop manager. Department: Trading. Location: Seaford shop. Contract: Permanent. Working hours: Part time 6 hours per week. Closing date: 8 May 2026 23:55. Internal: In line with organisational policy this role will remain open for internal applications until 10 May 2026 23:55.
Responsibilities
* Overseeing the running of the shop on a Sunday, including keyholder responsibilities (training provided) and supporting a diverse team of volunteers.
* Assisting the shop team in achieving sales and fundraising targets.
* Reviewing and processing donated goods and new stock.
* Generating ideas to help generate new income with guidance from the Shop Manager.
* Using customer service skills to ensure customers and supporters feel welcome and appreciated.
* Maintaining shop standards regarding safeguarding, compliance and health and safety.
* Noting that there is a varied amount of manual handling and physical activity required.

* Working knowledge of great customer service.
* Experience in a lively and vibrant environment.
* Adaptability in changing situations, able to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commercial awareness.
* Ability to build relationships and communicate well.
* Flexibility to cover rota needs; balance work with personal life.
