The Role
The Lead Practitioner of Science will:
* Model outstanding teaching and learning in Science, supporting colleagues to develop their practice across all disciplines (Biology, Chemistry, Physics).
* Lead the development, implementation, and evaluation of an ambitious science curriculum across all key stages.
* Provide coaching and mentoring to teachers, including ECTs, to enhance pedagogical approaches and practical skills.
* Utilise data effectively to identify areas for improvement and implement targeted interventions.
* Contribute to whole-school teaching and learning initiatives, promoting STEM engagement.
The Ideal Candidate
We are seeking an outstanding Science Teacher (QTS/QTLS) who:
* Possesses a proven track record of excellent teaching and securing strong student outcomes in Science.
* Has significant experience in a leadership or mentoring capacity within a Science department.
* Is passionate about innovation in science education and current pedagogical research.
* Demonstrates outstanding communication, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
