Remit is recruiting on behalf of Propaint Accident Repair Ltd who have an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in starting a career and gaining a recognized qualification in the Automotive Industry.\n\nThe apprentice program always apprentices to work full-time and can earn while they learn and put theory into practice within the Automotive Industry environment. \n\nAttending college typically for the first 3 years and the last year based within the workshop. A qualified vehicle paint technician applies paint and finishes to a vehicle which has recently been repaired by the vehicle body technician. You will learn how to recognize the various materials used on vehicles and the prep that needs to be done before applying the paints and finishes. It is a skilled job, and you will be taught how to estimate costs accurately as well as given a thorough briefing in health and safety.\n â¢\tPreparing vehicles to be painted after the damage has occurred or panels have been replaced, this can include repairing minor scratches to match the rest of the vehicle.\nâ¢\tEnsuring all parts are stripped from the vehicle for it to be painted.\nâ¢\tSanding down relevant areas and adjoining areas for blending\nâ¢\tMasking out areas that will need to be treated.\nâ¢\tEtching and priming the area to be treated\nâ¢\tSelecting, mixing, and matching colour\n â¢\tNationals at level 4 or above in English and Mathâs\nâ¢\tIt is also preferred if you have a Craft Subject and physics/science these are advantageous but not mandatory.\nâ¢\tA desire to work in the Automotive Industry\nâ¢\tThe ability to follow written and verbal instructions.\nâ¢\tConfidence in problem-solving\n\nInitial Assessments and interviews will be carried by Remit Ltd.\n\n
