The Opportunity:
Childlight, a global child safety institute, is looking for a Research Fellow with expertise in administrative data to integrate a variety of administrative data into Childlight’s core research outputs, particularly the Into the Light Global Index and Searchlight reports, which explore the prevalence and nature of child sexual exploitation and abuse (CSEA) globally. Administrative data refers to data generated when people interact with public services such as law enforcement, justice, health, education, and child protection systems
You will have strong research and analytical skills, a sound understanding of administrative data systems, and experience in building collaborative relationships with data-holding institutions globally.
The post holder will contribute to shaping a critical global evidence base on the scale and nature of CSEA. They will undertake original research using administrative data, to develop findings on the prevalence and nature of CSEA and communicate these across a variety of research products and outputs.

2. Experience of working with prevalence and administrative data.
3. Experience of practice / paid / voluntary/research work with children and young people.
4. Expertise in the area of child sexual exploitation and abuse research or related field that has had a demonstrable impact.
5. Experience of knowledge exchange through effective public engagement.
6. Growing portfolio of high-quality research publications in child protection or public health research.
7. A passion for making the world a better place and preventing CSEA, improving services and safeguarding children.
