Job Title: Assistant Driller
East Sussex area of the UK.
Role Overview
The Assistant Driller role supports the Driller in delivering safe and high-quality drilling projects to Central Alliance clients throughout the UK. The role involves cable percussive boring, rotary drilling, window sample drilling, and concrete coring.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
* Act as an assistant driller mainly for rotary drilling, with occasional window sampling and concrete coring.
* Weekend working on railway sites may be required.
* Follow best practices and industry standards; training and guidance provided for all levels.
* Follow working instructions from engineers, lead drillers and supervisors.
* Complete essential paperwork: timesheets, equipment inspection sheets, and weekly reports.
* Communicate with internal parties.
Technical Skills and Qualifications
* Attend and pass internal and industry recognised external training courses (e.g. CSCS, PTS, CCNSG, First Aid).
* Maintain ground investigation plant, equipment and tools.
* Assist the lead driller with rotary and windowless sampling drilling operations.
* Familiar with conventional coring systems (PWF, T6-116, T6-H, 412, SWF); entry level candidates may be considered.
