Pay Rate to Intermediary: £24.43 per hour
Security Clearance: BPSS - Basic
Spinwell is recruiting for a Catering Assistant for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
Responsibilities of the Catering Assistant
1. Operate varied shift working patterns including daily food services, daytime & evening functions, bar services, and possible reception and accommodation management duties.
2. Work alongside service personnel & industry partners (ESS) to ensure catering services comply with JSP 456 and ESS policy.
3. Operate & comply with all relevant legislation and local orders.
4. Handle cash accurately and follow profit protection procedures.
5. Undertake stock taking procedures.
6. Perform basic IT input and administrative tasks.
7. Maintain proper dress code and high hygiene standards.
8. Wear correct PPE at all times.
9. Follow all safety systems, including UK food safety, health & safety legislation, and ESS risk assessments.
10. Provide high standards of customer service and hospitality.
11. Remain current with all required competencies and KPIs as per local orders.
12. Maintain high security awareness and reporting culture.
Skills and Experience of the Catering Assistant
1. Experience in food & beverage service and hospitality industry.
2. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
3. Desirable: Food safety Level 2 training.
