Higher Level Teaching Assistant
Job description:
* Daily Rate: £18.62
* Location: Accrington, BB5
* Job Type: Part-time, Temporary
Reed/ Lancashire teaching agency are seeking a Higher LevelTeaching Assistant for a permanent position starting from September 2026 and is expected to last for the academic year!
The role is required for Mondays and Fridays but can be flexible for the right person.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Assist in the preparation and delivery of daily lessons.
* Provide support to individual students or small groups to help them understand the material and complete their tasks.
* Work under the guidance of the class teacher to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
* Help manage classroom resources and setup for activities.
* Supervise students during non-classroom times including lunch and recess as needed.
* Contribute to the monitoring and recording of student progress.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* Must hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
* Experience in a similar role within a school setting is preferred.
* Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with children.
* Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
