Hours of work
Continental shift pattern, 4 on 4 off days/nights, 12 hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities for the company include:
· To ensure all staff and production processes adhere to the safety policy and quality management plan.
· Coordinate and facilitate shift activities on a day-to-day basis to ensure all targets are communicated, understood and met.
· Drive continuous improvement in all areas of manufacturing performance, including Health and Safety, Quality, Machine Utilisation, Machine Efficiency (OEE) and waste material.
· Work with the quality team to drive a 'right first time' methodology.
· Maintain GMP, 5s and housekeeping principles to the highest level, fulfilling the agreed standards in all areas, at all times.
Key Responsibilities for the team include:
· To continuously monitor and assess development needs of team members.
· Ensure appropriate SOP's are in place and are being followed.
· To ensure performance concerns and disciplinary matters are effectively addressed, following company policies and procedures.
· To undertake performance appraisals in line with company procedure and assist in the formulation and implementation of training plans for individuals.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities required:
· Minimum of 3 years manufacturing experience.
· Experience gained within the plastics, packaging and beverage industry.
· Positive "can do" attitude and "right first time" approach.
· Enthusiastic "hands on" approach.
· Excellent communication skills (oral, written, IT) and interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with individuals at all times.
· Knowledge of BRCGS standards and their application.
Desirable skills:
Injection moulding engineering experience.
Personnel management experience
Identified training requirement for this role:
· IOSH (Managing safely)
· HACCP/Hygiene
· First Aid at work
· RTITB forklift license
Starting Salary dependent on experience.
