Your New Role
Are you a highly numerical professional with a strong background in supply chain management, supplier relationship management, and expertise in demand and supply planning? Survitec is looking for an ideal candidate like you to take on the role of Supply Chain Manager. If you are ready to lead in planning, managing the materials supply chain, and ensuring optimal inventory levels, we invite you to be a key player in our global operations.
What You Can Expect from the Role
Key Responsibilities and accountabilities:
1. Manage the transportation of goods and supplies, recommending improvements to ensure on-time delivery.
2. Contribute to the formation of supply chain operational plans aligned with wider strategy and business plans, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and Survitec policy requirements.
3. Deliver the local supply chain budget, managing activity to budget and providing complex analyses on budget progress.
4. Work with customer-facing teams to understand demand and optimize current and future customer order fulfillment.
5. Implement an effective local sales and operational planning (S&OP) process and demand and supply planning, ensuring accurate and timely forecasting.
6. Manage and recommend improvements to local replenishment and inventory control processes, identifying and solving problems decisively.
7. Manage regional warehousing and distribution activity, including the selection and management of local third-party distribution partners.
8. Implement and drive the adoption of supply chain information management systems and processes for planning, reviewing, and reporting activities across the supply cycle.
9. Communicate and implement local supply chain strategy and business plans within the team, motivating them to achieve business goals.
10. Manage and report on the performance of the supply chain team, setting appropriate performance objectives and ensuring accountability.
11. Contribute to stakeholder engagement by identifying needs, issues, and concerns, and conveying information to promote understanding and commitment.
12. Use Survitec's development framework to identify the team's individual development needs and provide training or coaching to improve performance.
The Experience, Qualifications and Skills You Will Have
Essential Criteria:
13. Experience in materials management, focusing on supplier relationship management and demand and supply planning
14. Experience gained must be within a manufacturing environment ideally in a similar industry
15. Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with data visualisation tools
16. Strategy change, process improvement and people management experience
17. Experience with ERP systems, demand planning, and forecasting software
18. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
19. Knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies
