Overview
As CAD Designer, you will be responsible for understanding, creating and editing designs with technical specifications for Pharmacy Automation for both Hospital and Retail Customers using CAD Software. You will be responsible for project designs from Project Initiation through to Project Completion / Handover, whilst also assisting with designs in Pre-Sales phase. Assist with project administration (this can include CRM data, project packs in preparation for on-site work, and more).
About The Role
As CAD Designer, you will be focusing on creating, refining, and delivering precise technical designs for pharmacy automation solutions used in hospital and retail environments. It involves working across the full lifecycle of each project, beginning with early design support during pre-sales and continuing through detailed design, documentation, and final handover. The position combines hands-on CAD work with close collaboration across internal teams to ensure that every installation is delivered with accuracy and consistency. Project administration tasks also form part of the role and contribute to smooth on-site preparation and execution.
Main Responsibilities Will Include
* Producing and updating 2D and 3D drawings in AutoCAD
* Translating on-site surveys into accurate CAD outputs
* Adjusting floorplans to meet specific project and design requirements
* Developing robotics design specifications, including electrical details, weight drawings, prerequisites, and specific technical needs
* Designing pharmacy automation layouts tailored to each project
* Responding to design-related and technical inquiries from internal teams, engineers, and customers
* Preparing sales offer drawings from pre-sales through to delivery
* Supporting project documentation and administration, including CRM updates and project pack preparation
About You
* Experience working with CAD tools, ideally including AutoCAD
* Background in mechanical, industrial, civil engineering, automation, or capital project environments
* Familiarity with collaborative project work involving engineering and commercial teams
* Strong technical understanding in mechanical or electrical disciplines and confidence in adopting new IT systems
* Ability to work with focus and independence in a fast-paced environment
* Experience coordinating on-site work or resolving on-site technical issues is beneficial
