Role overview
The Knowledge Manager (Training & Enablement) is responsible for governing and maintaining the knowledge ecosystem across Confluence, Thrive, and associated platforms. This role ensures documentation is accurate, structured, consistent, and optimised for self‑serve use—supporting trainers, SMEs, and cross‑functional teams with high quality, trusted content. You will convert validated product and process updates into clear documentation, improve findability through metadata and AI optimisation, and monitor search and usage analytics to drive continuous improvement. Acting as the documentation authority for Platform Delivery, you will champion best practice and support a strong culture of knowledge management across teams.
Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain our knowledge libraries in Confluence and Thrive, ensuring content is well structured, consistent, and easy to navigate.
* Oversee the full documentation lifecycle, including version control, review cycles, archiving, and regular content health checks.
* Turn approved product or process changes into clear, accurate, and easy to follow documentation.
* Create templates, frameworks, and content packs that help trainers and subject matter experts produce high quality materials.
* Improve how information is found by structuring content effectively and applying strong tagging and metadata for search and AI tools.
* Track knowledgebase and search analytics to identify gaps, understand user behaviour, and prioritise updates.
* Support self‑serve by converting common questions into helpful articles and keeping resources up to date.
* Work closely with Product, Project Management, Data Services, and Communications teams to ensure documentation is aligned and consistent.
* Promote good documentation habits across the organisation by coaching teams and reinforcing standards when needed.
* Deliver occasional tool or process walkthroughs to support understanding, without taking responsibility for full training delivery.
What we are looking for
* Experience in knowledge management, technical writing, content operations, or related fields (such as content design, product documentation, learning content development, or information architecture).
* Strong hands‑on experience administering and governing enterprise knowledge platforms (ideally Confluence), including internal wikis or knowledge bases such as SharePoint, Notion, Document360, Guru, or similar tools used to manage documentation at scale.
* Ability to manage documentation at scale, including space design, templates, labels, permissions, and governance.
* Experience supporting product and process change documentation.
* Data literacy, with the ability to create simple dashboards and interpret analytics to drive action.
* Excellent written communication and a passion for plain language principles.
* Strong organisational skills, able to design and optimise systems and processes at scale.
* Critical thinking skills with the ability to assess information quality and structure logically.
* Adaptability and initiative, comfortable working through change and identifying improvements.
* Strong teamwork, collaboration, and communication abilities.
Bonus points for:
* Experience working with Thrive or a comparable LMS.
* Exposure to AI assistants, knowledge bots, and content optimisation for AI retrieval.
* Experience with configurable SaaS products, project delivery workflows, and tools like Jira.
* Knowledge of accessibility, content design, and inclusive writing principles.
