Candidate required: Quantity Surveyor Job Type: Permanent Start date: ASAP Industry: Construction Professionals – Fit Out Location: London The role & about the client: ITS Building People are recruiting on behalf of one of the UK’s leading Fit Out Contractors for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their growing commercial team. This is an excellent opportunity to take a key role within a well-established contractor, known for delivering high-end commercial fit out projects across London. The successful candidate will take full commercial responsibility for managing large-scale fit out projects valued between £10m–£12m, from pre-construction through to final account. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on complex, high-value schemes in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a business that offers long-term progression and career development. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to: * Take full commercial control of major fit out projects (circa £10–12 million in value) * Lead on procurement, contract management, and subcontractor packages * Oversee cost planning, value engineering, and risk management activities * Provide regular cost reporting, forecasting, and commercial performance updates * Manage change control processes and ensure contractual compliance * Work collaboratively with internal teams, clients, and consultants * Ensure financial targets and deadlines are met without compromising quality * Maintain strong supplier and stakeholder relationships across the project lifecycle The ideal candidate will have/be: * Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit out or commercial interiors sector * Experience managing projects valued at £5m, ideally within London * Strong commercial acumen and contractual knowledge (JCT preferable) * Excellent negotiation, analytical, and reporting skills * Able to work autonomously while contributing to a wider commercial team * Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline How to apply: Please send an up-to-date CV in strict confidence.
