Key Responsibilities
The Trade Marketing Manager plans and delivers trade marketing campaigns for stock is in close coordination with the indirect sales team. Campaigns are designed to increase sales performance, improve category visibility, and strengthen brand presence at point of sale. All activities are tracked against defined commercial and marketing objectives, with clear return‑on‑investment mechanisms and structured reporting.
Installer‑ and contractor‑focused materials are developed to support sell‑out, including merchandising, printed assets, displays, and promotional tools aligned with annual sales and marketing plans. This role ensures that asset development is communicated clearly and consistently to the sales team and that materials are distributed effectively across channels.
The role works collaboratively to support the development of annual sales and marketing plans, including initiatives related to sell‑in, sell‑out, loyalty programmes, and promotional calendars. Corporate strategies are adapted where necessary to reflect the realities of the NE Cluster and local market dynamics.
Budget ownership is a core responsibility. The role ensures that all campaigns, events, and materials are executed in line with the approved marketing budget and that spend is monitored, controlled, and reported transparently.
The Trade Marketing coordinates trade shows, industry conferences, and relevant events, ensuring consistent brand representation and alignment with commercial priorities. Regular field visits and ongoing communication with distribution channels, via commercial and sales teams, provide market insight and support effective execution.
Strong governance is maintained over the creation of marketing materials. The role ensures that a clear approval process is in place, involving all relevant stakeholders such as legal, brand, and creative teams where required.
Process improvement is an ongoing focus. The role monitors and refines ways of working to strengthen the link between marketing initiatives and commercial outcomes, improving efficiency and impact over time.
The role prepares and interprets a range of analyses, including market data, internal sales data, sell‑out performance, and campaign effectiveness. Insights are used to optimise future activities and support evidence‑based decision‑making.
