Health and Social Care Teacher (Key Stage 5)
Tradewind Recruitment is recruiting for a Health and Social Care Teacher (Key Stage 5) to teach at a fantastic school within Hull. This temporary role covers an absence due to sickness, starting 11th May and ending 22nd June. It may be extended later in the academic year. Full planning and marking are expected, with payment in line with the main teaching scale, between £168.80 and £232.56. The role starts full‑time until May Half Term, then moves to a 3 days per week booking.
Role Overview
This position involves teaching Health and Social Care to Key Stage 5 students, specifically BTEC Level 3. The school has a large bank of resources and shares good practice. Planning requirements are minimal. The role may take on all full responsibilities of a teacher.
Location & Working Conditions
The school is located in Hull and is easily accessible. There is a free on‑site car park with ample space. The role is suitable for ECTs and teachers who have experience in Science but not applied science.
Professional Development
Tradewind will support development through CPD via The National College. The role may also lead to other shifts and roles through Tradewind Recruitment.
Responsibilities
* Teach Health and Social Care to KS5 students.
* Plan and deliver lessons, marking, and assessment.
* Maintain pupils' safety and welfare.
* Participate in staff meetings and professional development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Experience working within schools in the UK.
* Experience supporting within UK schools.
* Experience teaching Health and Social Care to KS5 students.
* Enhanced DBS Disclosure; overseas police clearances if applicable; professional reference checks.
* Complete CV history provided.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
