Role Purpose
* Lead procurement and contract delivery activities for allocated MEH Alliance workstreams supporting the Sizewell C Project.
* Responsible for managing sourcing activities through to contract award and overseeing post-award contract delivery.
* The role ensures suppliers are selected, contracted and managed in a way that supports programme schedule, nuclear safety requirements, quality standards and cost objectives.
* Ensures a seamless transition from procurement to delivery and provides leadership to both procurement and contract management teams.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement sourcing strategies aligned to the MEH Alliance supply chain strategy and Sizewell C programme requirements.
* Lead procurement activities including tendering, supplier evaluation, negotiation and contract award.
* Ensure procurement activities comply with SZC governance, nuclear supply chain requirements and project procedures.
* Manage and lead a team of Supply Chain Specialists and Senior Supply Chain Specialists responsible for procurement activities.
* Manage Contract Managers responsible for NEC3 contract administration and supplier delivery performance.
* Ensure clear and structured handover from procurement teams to Contract Managers at contract award.
* Oversee contract mobilisation to ensure suppliers are prepared for delivery in line with project requirements.
* Provide leadership and direction to Contract Managers in the administration of NEC3 contracts including compensation events, notices and change management.
* Ensure supplier performance is effectively managed across delivery, quality, cost, safety and programme metrics.
* Monitor supply chain risks including long lead items, manufacturing capacity and supplier capability.
* Support recovery planning and supplier intervention where delivery risks arise.
* Coordinate with engineering, project management, planning, quality and commercial teams to ensure supplier activities support programme delivery.
* Ensure supplier performance information and risk data is reported through appropriate project governance forums.
* Promote collaborative relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support effective project delivery.
Key Requirements
* Significant experience managing procurement and supply chain delivery within major infrastructure, engineering or nuclear projects.
* Demonstrated experience leading procurement teams and managing complex supplier contracts.
* Strong understanding of commercial management and contract delivery in large programmes.
* Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business or equivalent experience.
* Experience with NEC contracts and contract administration practices.
* Experience working within major regulated infrastructure or nuclear programmes desirable.
* Understanding of supplier performance management and risk management methodologies.
