Salary: Starting salary £40,777 rising to £44,075 per annum (pro‑rata for part‑time) (Pay award pending)
Location: Loxley House, Station Street, Nottingham NG2 3NG
We are looking for a dedicated MST CAN Therapist to join our Multi Systemic Therapy Child Abuse and Neglect team. The role involves delivering intensive, home‑based treatment to families with children under a Child Protection Plan, working within the family’s natural setting and providing 24/7 support through an on‑call facility. Full training and continuous professional development will be provided.
Responsibilities
* Provide intensive, individualised treatment sessions with families and children
* Implement MST CAN therapeutic model, including cognitive–behavioural, systemic and behavioural approaches
* Co‑ordinate care with Children’s Social Care, clinicians, and other support services
* Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date clinical records and risk assessments
* Participate in weekly supervision and clinical consultation with the MST CAN Manager and Services
* Serve on the 24/7 on‑call rota as required
Qualifications
* Post‑graduate qualification in a relevant field (social work, mental health nursing, clinical/forensic psychology, health specialism or equivalent)
* Strong understanding and practical experience of case management (assessment, planning, intervention, review)
* Significant experience of family‑based interventions with young people
* Experience of using a therapeutic model with families (e.g., CBT, SFBT, systemic family therapy, or behavioural approaches)
* Demonstrable expertise in safeguarding and risk management for children and young people
* DBS enhanced check (required for the role)
