Role Description:
* Collaborate with engineering staff to develop mechanical designs including drive trains, electric motor assemblies, and more.
* Use CAD tools like SolidWorks for creating 3D models, assembly drawings, and manufacturing details.
* Perform design verification through simulations, analysis, and calculations.
* Coordinate with production and quality teams to facilitate product manufacturing.
* Prepare technical documentation for procurement and updates.
* Support quality and safety improvements, including hazard analysis.
* Occasional travel may be required.
Candidate Requirements:
* Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
* Knowledge of product development in industrial, automotive, or marine settings.
* Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably SolidWorks.
* Fundamental engineering calculations; FEA experience is a plus.
* Passion for automotive or marine industries.
* Understanding of manufacturing processes like injection molding, machining, and rapid prototyping.
* Experience with production engineering tasks such as BOMs and assembly instructions.
