Senior Care Assistant – Full Time (Days) – Luxury Retirement Home – AV1943A
Location: South Hylton, Sunderland
Pay: £13.50 – £14.00 Per Hour
Hours: 30 Hours Per Week – Days

This well-established, family-owned residential care home in Sunderland provides compassionate, person-centred care for older adults within a warm, welcoming, and homely environment. Rated ‘Good’ by the CQC, the home offers accommodation across 40 comfortable en-suite bedrooms, all designed to promote independence, comfort, and wellbeing. The service works closely with local GP practices and community nursing teams to ensure residents receive consistent and responsive support. The Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting residents while leading and encouraging the wider care team to deliver outstanding standards of care.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Leading and supporting care staff on shift
• Delivering high-quality, compassionate care
• Assisting residents with daily living activities in a dignified manner
• Administering medication where required
• Maintaining accurate care documentation and care plans
• Promoting resident independence, wellbeing, and choice
• Creating a safe, calm, and positive environment for residents and staff

About You
• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (desirable)
• Previous experience within a senior care role in a residential or nursing home setting
• A caring, compassionate, and proactive approach
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Medication training desirable but not essential
• Passionate about delivering person-centred care
