The role of Clerk of Works will include:
1. Ensuring all new build projects are in line with the Group’s technical design and quality standards
2. Visiting all projects on a regular basis and building excellent relationships with the relevant contractors and internal colleagues
3. Ensuring properties are fit for purpose, completed to a high standard and meet the needs of the intended end user
4. Making recommendations for changes throughout the project as and when required
5. Monitoring any budgetary issues and ensuring these are escalated to the Construction Manager
6. Producing detailed reports during the construction works and communicating this information to the relevant teams
Skills and experiences:
7. Considerable experience as a site manager or clerk of works
8. A good understanding of residential developments, ideally Social Housing or within the new build sector of the construction industry
9. Understanding the importance of managing quality in construction projects in a complex and demanding environment
10. An up to date working knowledge of building compliance and regulations
11. Ability to prioritise, plan, schedule and evaluate works and solve problems effectively
12. Excellent customer service engagement with experience of managing external contractors
13. A working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
14. Travel is a requirement of the role; therefore, a full valid driving licence is essential

27. Role salary is £35,513 with an additional policy allowance of £3,025 per annum (rising to £37,382 with an additional policy allowance of £3,184 per annum after 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance)
