Description Manitowoc, international Leader in providing premium lifting equipments with Potain and Grove brands, is looking for a Finance Controller to be based in our UK facility in Buckingham. Main Responsibilities in the Role Legal aspects Ensure company policies and legal guidelines are communicated all the way from the top down in the company and that they are always followed. Fiscal aspects Responsible for all the demands from fiscal authorities and ensuring that all official documents where correctly done and on time, including annual Corporation Tax returns Accounting Manage the UK entity accounting function, supervise the General ledger, A/R and A/P functions, to achieve MCG UK financial goals. Reporting Ensure all reporting both internally and externally is performed in a timely and accurate manner and fulfils all the MEC requirements. Treasury Manage the day to day running and administration of the company's UK bank accounts. Prepare as required, forecasts for local management and internal Treasury department. Administer the funds of the organisation according to the approved budget and monitor the monthly cash flow of the entity. Auditing Liaison with authorised Audit parties both internal and external Coordination and provision of information as required. The management of processes to provide information in a timely basis. Preparation of Statutory Accounts for at least 2 UK based companies. General Management Actively participate in site controlling activities. Maintain budgets for the managed entity as well as the individual projects. Active participation and support of UK based HR functions related to the UK site To Be Successful in this Role High degree of knowledge of Accounting Principles and Statutory/Tax regulations (UKGAAP and USGAAP) • Experience in Sarbanes Oxley requirements are a plus Computer literacy – Excel (advanced) ERP systems (extensive experience) SAP experience preferred Fluent in English, additional European language capability an advantage (French / German) Good communication and presentation skills Ability to influence, develop and motivate others Team building and consensus building skills Results focus, particularly profit and business performance orientation Ability to work on own initiative Ability to translate the performance targets into actionable and quantitative plans and projects and keep teams focused on the most important metrics.
