Job Summary
Benson & Egerton Trauma Unit operates a 62‑bedded Trauma & Orthopaedic Ward that admits emergency cases. The Clinical Support Worker (CSW) will support the care team under the direct supervision of a Registered Practitioner and in close collaboration with the Staff Nurse.
Responsibilities
* Provide basic patient care activities as directed.
* Assist with patient mobilisation, hygiene and feeding.
* Record basic physiological data and produce written care reports.
* Support the team to maintain a high standard of care.
Qualifications
* GCSE English and Maths grade C or 4 or functional skills for English/Maths.
* Care Certificate.
Desirable Qualifications
* 5 GCSEs grade 4 or C and above or equivalent.
* Evidence of mandatory statutory training such as Basic Life Support, manual handling, infection control, fire.
* NVQ Level 3 or work‑based diploma or equivalent.
Experience
* Relevant experience in a health or social care environment providing personal care.
* Experience working in the NHS (desirable).
Skills
* Ability to provide basic written reports after care episodes.
* Ability to use physiological recording equipment accurately.
