Job Description
3. Lead and manage the sales team towards achieving sales targets
4. Develop and implement strategic business development plans
5. Maintain and grow relationships with key clients
6. Understand the market trends and competitor activities in the industrial / manufacturing industry
7. Present reports on sales performance and forecasts to the management team
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure client satisfaction
9. Provide mentoring and coaching to the sales team
10. Participate in industry events and conferences
The Successful Applicant
A successful Business Development Manager should have:
11. Proven sales management skills
12. Proven track record in successfully winning high-value long-term contracts via bids or tenders .
13. Strong knowledge of the marine, defence and/or engineering sector industry
14. Excellent communication and leadership skills
15. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients
16. Proficiency in strategic business planning
17. Willingness to travel as required
